I find myself a bit nostalgic today...thinking about the past and daydreaming about the future. Plus, I have been celebrating the time change. I love when it gets dark earlier and is light when I arrive to school. In the mornings the skies to the East are so beautiful! The combinations of yellows, oranges, pinks, and blues always seem to be just right. It is a nice way to begin my day.
I am also nostalgic because it is my birthday. I hate "those people" who announce to everyone that today is their day, but for the sake of this particular posting, I broke my own rule. I am yet one year older and one year wiser (sort of, but not really :). I have no issues with getting older - my mom always says that I was born a 30 year old - but I am starting to notice just how quickly time goes by. Actually, it flies by. Truly. Yesterday was the last day of school five years ago. It is crazy.
So, I feel it is my duty to pass on some advice. Indulge me, it is my birthday :)...Appreciate the time you have now. I hear so many complaints - I have so much homework, my friends are mean, my parents won't let me do anything - but few utterances of appreciation. You go to a beautiful school, are provided with a free, fantastic education, and live in a safe, well-tended community. The world is most certainly your oyster. Take advantage of it. Appreciate it. Love it.

Happy Birthday, M(r)s. Z.

Happy Birthday Mrs.Stoklosa ! I agree, I love the new time change. Not only do we gain an extra hour to our day, but the sun is actually out when we go to school. It seems a little easier to get up in the morning since its not so dark. I also love the sky, it is a great start to the day. What you said about time is very true. Life is too short to complain about everything. We should appreciate what we have and live our life in happiness.
You said something about your birthday on Monday, but I totally forgot I'm sorry Happy belated birthday. I 100% agree about the kids in school whining about every little thing I even catch my self doing it sometimes, But I think no one can truly appreciate everything they have, I've never met anyone that did..
First, I would like to say Happy Birthday!
I sometimes become nostalgic also. There are just many things in the past we have done, good or bad. With the tough times we are going through, it's nice to jsut sit back and just daydream away. Also, I agree with the statement about people publishing their birthdays. Birthdays are supposed to be personal and memorable times, not just that "one event in your life" that is just going to be wasted.
I hope you had a wonderful birthday! I agree with you about the time change. It's so nice to walk to my bus stop in the morning with the sun shining. It's wrong to arrive at school when it's so dark it looks as if it's midnight. I also agree with you that time passes by too quickly. I'm still in disbelief that we are already in the second quarter because it feels like school just started not to long ago. I also can't believe that only in two and a half years I will be graduating from high school. It seems like a lot of time now, but I know those years will fly by so fast.
Happy late Birthday! I love waking up and going to school in the morning instead of at night... The time change makes me feel like I am sleeping an extra hour... I whine about homework and parents and friends, i agree, but I still appriciate time and the little of it that we have as mortal beings....
I think it's best to not think about the past because no matter if it's good or bad, it already happened and it cannot be changed. I do think it's unnecessary when people yell out "Woo it's my birthday" but there's nothing wrong with that. I do disagree though, I think it was better when the mornings were dark. That's just my opinion.
-Happy birthday
I like to think that time is a cruel joke. When we are having a great time, time moves faster. When we are in a boring english class and are looking at random SIRS articles instead of working on a project, time moves slower (not that I'm speaking from personal experience or anything).
I hope you had an awesome birthday! So happy belated birthday instead! :) Also it is much nicer waking up with sunlight I actually feel that it is the right time to wake up now. My theory is if it's dark then I should be sleeping. I'm speaking in if it's morning though of course because I'm a night person. Not really a morning person, I'm not always quite their. I'm sure you've caught me zoning off into my own little world. Mornings and I don't work. Also what you said about appreciating life more I think I'm going to take that in. Sometimes I think I take things for granted and I don't always see how good I have it right in front of me. Even though I struggle with dyslexia and it seems like the end of the world to me. There are so many other positive things to take in and love. So thank you for posting this. This actually made my day a lot better. :)
I do not like the new time change. I hate on the way to school it is impossible to fall asleep because the sun is in my face constantly. By the way, Happy Birthday! And life is too short to constantly be complaining. But don't get me how wrong I complain all the time about homework. But you also have to appreciate the good things in life.
Happy B day Ms.Stoklosa. Sorry I'm two days late. Your post showed me that I should appreciate every thing I have and to never take any thing for granted. Time is a terrible thing to waste, because no matter what you can never get it back. I am going to appreciate every second I have.
Fall is my favorite time of the year. My favorite part is the time change. It is so much easier to wake up in the morning to sunshine rushing into your eyes. Nighttime is my favorite part of the day, its when i get to relax and sleep . Since it becomes dark earlier now i am able to focus more on homework and relax.
The comment you posted about time is very true. Life is way to short to spend complaining. We should enjoy the time we have on earth and be happier.
Mrs. Stoklosa!!! (three exlimation marks) Happy (really late) Birthday! And its true about how fast time flies, and no one really takes much advantage of it. I could tell you a story or two that came into my mind, but I know you rather they be interesting.. jeje :D
I would like to know what noglastic means??? mrs.s its true that times flys so fast, i feel like i had i permite a week ago snd now im driving alone with my lisence... i love the change to expecially the cold well its not cold but the chold brizz that hots you and at the same time ur under the warm sunn.... mrs. s ama go its late i need my beauti sleep so happy birthday hope u get a cake c u tomorrow.
Happy Birthday!
I also love when the time changes because it is way better going to school in the light. It is so much better and it is safer on the roads.
Thanks for the advice and hope u have a great day!
Sorry I wasn't there to say happy brihday to on your special day. I hope you are right that time does fly because I want my arm to feel better now. Sorry I haven't been able to post anything for the past cople of days, but today I am I am just starting to feel better. Thhanks for the patience and I will update my bloggers as quick as possible.
You are right Mrs. Stoklosa, lately I have been noticing the same thing. My day is totally consumed, after school and football, im home at seven thirty, leaving me with only a few hours before bed to eat dinner and do my homework. Then I wake up and do it all over again!
But in retrospect being extremely busy has given me a better appreciation for the spare time I do have. Happy Birthday Mrs. Stoklosa, sorry it’s a little belated.
Happy belated birthday:) I hope you had fun. Unlike you, however, I am already getting a little tired of the time difference. Although getting up has been a much simpler task these past couple of days, I find myself wanting to go to sleep at ridiculously early hours. Sometimes I will even skimp over some of my homework just because I am so tired at night. On the other hand, I do agree with you when you say that people do not appreciate all that they are given. Just the other day, I heard one of my friends say that she was so upset because her little brother got the brand new Blackberry and she still had the old one. I'm not going to lie, I wanted to yell at her to shut up. You would think that for someone who has been handed everything their entire life and has never had to work for anything would be a little bit more thankful for all of the things she is handed.
Happy late birthday! What you said is very true, the time does fly by amazingly fast. I find time flies quicker when you are doing something you like doing or having fun with. The change is nice too, it means i can play outside when it is cooler with my friends. It seems like only a couple weeks ago summer started.
